At Home Skincare Guide

Taking care of your skin is essential for a healthy and glowing complexion. In this blog I am showing four of my favorite two ingredient face masks you can make in your kitchen!  From selecting the right ingredients you take care of your skin with nourishing ingredients and rejuvenate your complexion. Have a spa night and enjoy these relaxing and effective skincare remedies right in the comfort of your own home.

  1. Ground Coffee and Honey
  • Ground coffee contains caffeine, which can help reduce puffiness and dark circles by improving blood circulation. Honey is a natural humectant that hydrates and soothes the delicate skin under your eyes, providing moisture and nourishment to keep the area looking bright and rejuvenated.
  • 1 tbsp ground coffee, 2 tbsp honey
  1. Turmeric & Honey

Together, turmeric and honey create a powerful duo for healthy and radiant skin. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that can help reduce acne, calm skin irritation, and brighten the complexion.Turmeric is great for acne scars, dark spots, & hyperpigmentation with its brightening qualities.

BUT be careful! Turmeric stains!! Wear gloves and add 1 tbsp of any plain yogurt to avoid staining your skin!

1 tbsp turmeric, 2 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp plain yogurt (optional to avoid staining)

  1. Rice Water Face Mask

Rice water is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that help hydrate, reduce inflammation, and improve skin texture. The natural properties of rice water can also help absorb excess oil on the skin.

Cook 1/2 cup of rice + 1 cup of water & blend it!

  1. Oats & Honey

As previously mentioned, honey is a natural humectant that moisturizes the skin and provides antibacterial benefits to help prevent acne and keep the skin clear. Leaving honey on your skin is extremely soothing. Oats have soothing and anti-inflammatory properties that can help calm sensitive or irritated skin. Oats also contain antioxidants and beta-glucans that can nourish and protect the skin, promoting a healthy and rejuvenated complexion. The oats will work as an exfoliant as you rinse this mask off!

Blend ½ cup of oats, mix with 2-4 tbsp of honey

Side note: If you have a gluten allergy like me, make sure to use gluten free oats!
